Chat in two languages without a translator open beside you

In Dilinga a message is translated on its way out. You write the way you always do; the other person reads it in their own language, and their reply arrives in yours. No copy, no paste, no second app.

Dilinga is coming very soon to the App Store and Google Play. Write to [email protected] and we will tell you the day it opens. Ask about Dilinga →

How it works

Every contact has a language. When you send a message, Dilinga translates it into that language before it is shown on the other side. The header of the conversation shows the language pair, for example EN → IT, so you always know what the other person is reading.

More than text

  • Text messages, voice notes, photos and files in the same conversation.
  • Contacts, conversations and call history in one place.
  • A call is one tap away when typing is too slow — and the call is translated too (see call translation).

Who it is for

Families spread across countries, people working with customers or suppliers abroad, students and expats, and anyone tired of pasting every sentence into a translator.

Languages

Messages work in 34 languages: Turkish, English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Vietnamese, Persian, Kurdish, Indonesian, Polish, Ukrainian, Dutch, Thai, Malay, Romanian, Greek, Czech, Hungarian, Swedish, Hebrew, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Slovak, Croatian and Catalan.

Questions

Does the other person need Dilinga?

Yes. Messages are translated inside the Dilinga conversation, so both people use the app.

Are my messages end-to-end encrypted?

No. To translate a message the service has to read it. Messages travel over encrypted connections and are not used to train models — the privacy policy explains the details.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Free messaging needs no email address, password or phone number.
