Translation
One translation app for calls, messages and the camera
Most people juggle three tools to get through a conversation in another language: a chat app, a translator open beside it, and a camera app for signs. Dilinga puts the translation inside the conversation itself, so there is nothing to copy, paste or carry between apps.
Dilinga is coming very soon to the App Store and Google Play. Write to [email protected] and we will tell you the day it opens. Ask about Dilinga →
What Dilinga translates
- Live phone call translation — each sentence is recognised, translated and spoken to the other side while the call is still going.
- Video call translation — the same live translation with subtitles on screen.
- Message translation — you write in your language, the other person reads theirs.
- Camera translation — signs, menus, labels and forms, plus questions about the same photo.
- Face-to-face conversation — one phone between two people, translating each turn.
Languages
Messages and calls work in 34 languages: Turkish, English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Vietnamese, Persian, Kurdish, Indonesian, Polish, Ukrainian, Dutch, Thai, Malay, Romanian, Greek, Czech, Hungarian, Swedish, Hebrew, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Slovak, Croatian and Catalan. Every language in the list also works with the microphone, so you can speak instead of type.
Built around privacy
Free use needs no account: the app identifies you with an ID created on your own device. During calls your phone turns speech into text, and only that text is translated — the raw audio is not sent anywhere for translation. There is no advertising and no tracking. The details are in the privacy policy.
